It's been both a quick and long couple of weeks. Who would have thought I'd be writing a blog about my babies in October??! To get everyone up to date that we may not have talked to personally here's our story. It was all smooth sailing until Thursday October 15th when I started getting cramps throughout the day. I decided to call my doctor's office around 3 that afternoon to get told to put my feet up and drink plenty of water. If I started getting cramps every 7 minutes I was told to be sure to call back. Well, it got to be about 4:30pm when I really starting noticing that yes, I was getting cramping every 7 minutes so I continued to monitor them and called again around 7pm. My doctor told me to head to the hospital. Little did I know I wouldn't be returning home pregnant. I was immediately put on complete bedrest. They gave me magnesium sulfiate to try and stop the contractions and my first round of steriods to help develop the babies lungs. There was no stopping that I was already 7 centimeters dilated. With Bri by my side and our parents/sister on the way we tried to hold out hope that we could delay the birth as long as possible. Long story short, I made it through another round of steriods, hip pain, dry mouth, and trouble breathing to early Monday morning before the contractions starting becoming more frequent. Baby A, Landon, was clearly on his way without much stopping. There wasn't time for an epidural and the doctor thought I would probably be fine anyway, thinking it would only take a couple of pushes before he was on his way out. This deemed to be the case as Landon Ethan was born alittle after 1pm weighing 1lb 13 oz and 13.5 in long.
Shortly after the doctor realized that Baby B had no intention of coming out so we decided to wait and see how long we could hold off. A long 5 hours later Grant Parker made his appearance, breech, at 1lb 12.2oz and 14 in. long.
Both babies were stabilized, ventilated, and rushed up to Crouse Hospital in Syracuse to start their long journey of growing.
Mark my words, the rascal of the two is Grant. They both looked great on Saturday (10/24) and Sunday (10/25).

This brings back memories. Both of our boys were 2 1/2 months early (even though they were 3 years apart) Your boys look great and mine are now 5 and 8 and in great health. Every stage goes by quickly, even this first hospital stage. ---Sean Bowers
