4 MONTHS!

Wow, definitely hard to believe it's already been four months. The boys are continuing to get bigger by the day and starting to develop their own personalities. Landon is up to 8lbs8oz and Grant is catching up (gaining a pound in a week) at 7lbs6oz. They're spending more time awake during the day and love to stare at their toys. Still dealing with finding a solution to their reflux issues (trial and error with meds) and getting them to finish ALL of their bottles closer to a half hour rather than an hour. Looking forward to when we can actually drop a night feeding or at the very least go to every 3.5-4hrs. instead of every 3.

Starting to get a little stir crazy at home when the most exciting part of my week is getting out to take the boys to the doctor, you know you're close to losing it:) I really wish I could take them out and build a snowman with the TON of snow we got over the last couple of days:)!

Here's some pics from the last couple of weeks:

Feedings

So the last couple of days have been absolutely brutal with feedings. We still need to feed the boys every three hours until they get bigger which of course is very draining in itself. Now we're dealing with each boy taking up to an hour to feed only 2oz at a time. Do the math......one person feeding both babies =2hrs with one hour in between feedings to eat something, go to the bathroom, clean up, etc. I feel like I don't even get time to "cuddle" with them...it's all spent on feedings!
The doctor isn't really too concerned though because they are both gaining weight (Landon 7lbs 5oz & Grant 6lbs 2oz) which is GREAT and ultimately that is our goal. It's funny to think that if they were full term babies I probably wouldn't even have noticed that they didn't take as much this feed as compared to yesterday or spit up this feeding, etc. Writing down everything is probably "over cautious" on my part but does help to pinpoint when there could be a problem. For instance: Landon was given a prescription today for Zantac to hopefully help with his reflux. He used to only take about 15-20min to feed and is now taking longer and isn't as interested, uncomfortable, etc. We have to hold him upright or position him upright to "try" and prevent spit up but he's still spitting up more than a normal baby should. All preemies have some issues with reflux so this isn't a surprise. So for now as long as they're at least taking 2oz, even if it is an hour, we're all good.

G is for Goin'

Grant is home (since Wed)! Our family is complete:) After exactly 100 days in the hospital he made it home safe and sound.

Grant getting ready to go

The boys are ready! Sporting their new blankets made by my coworkers Freda & Barb...love them!
Landon wondering who the heck is in his bed!

Things are going good, super exhausted and trying to get into a routine that works. First doctor visit was Friday, Grant didn't gain any weight from his release from the hospital so I suggested that we add the Neosure to the breastmilk like we're doing for Landon and the Dr. gave us the go ahead so hopefully he starts catching up to Landon soon!

Our little mouse at the dr.

We were able to weigh Landon since he made the trip out with his brother:) and he's up to SIX pounds! It's crazy how big they're getting! We used the last preemie diaper on Grant yesterday and both babies are officially out of preemie clothes!
